My name is Brenda Enciso. I am a full-time student at San Diego State University in pursuit of a Spanish degree along with a minor in Portuguese. I am born and raised out of Tijuana, Mexico and have now been living in San Diego for what is now a decade! Much of my back-story of growing up in Mexico and coming to the United States is why I had gained a passion for studying language and learning how to communicate Spanish effectively to language learners.
I am grateful to be an aunt of two nieces Anastasia who is 7 years of age and her younger sister Adaliah now 2 years of age. My nieces have taught me the true meaning of beauty in life and every day I am blessed to be a part of their journey to grow. They have inspired me to strive to change the lives of many children and have helped me to define my passion working with children.
It has been now six years ago I began working with children. Throughout my journey I have gained much knowledge and perspective of what it will be like to soon be an elementary and middle school teacher. Beginning with an associate degree that I acquired from Southwestern community college (Child and adolescent development) has helped me apply my classroom work to the field.
My goal here at Kids Wings nature school is to inspire and innovate children to their fullest potential. I like to see engagement with our everyday activities as well as our foreign language speaking and how we can apply that to our everyday lives. Through, exploration of nature we have the ability to allow children to learn motor skills in their early life which can lead to a positive association with their cognitive abilities.
